2 Things to think about In the Jurassic period there were no ice caps
Known: The Earth has been getting warmer for the past 100 years. Question: Warming caused by greenhouse gas pollution? Known: The Earth’s climate is always changing. In the Jurassic period there were no ice caps 18,000 years ago, the ice caps covered Canada Opinion: The Earth is naturally becoming warmer and the excess greenhouse gases from burning fossil fuels is just making it warm up faster than usual. Opinion: Global warming should not be the main driving force to using alternative, renewable energy sources. Non-renewable fossil fuels make us sick and will not be around forever! (Gas at $3.40 a gallon!!)

3 Polar ice caps 18,000 years ago

4 What are the 3 main greenhouse gas emissions?
How might global warming effect people and the earth?

5 Answers 1. Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen Oxides and Methane
2. Climate change:  deserts become green, green areas become deserts ice caps melt: cities under water, less land to live and grow food on People dying: disease from insects and population density, heat related illnesses more intense storms Species go extinct because they cannot adapt fast enough to changing conditions Emperor penguin/polar bears
