What’s My Brand? Perception and Reality, Inside and Out The professional press is responsible for reporting the facts of a situation. Just as a doctor is responsible for diagnosing a sickness, a journalist is supposed to tell the public what people need to know to be informed decision makers. In this lesson, you discuss what journalism ethics are and participate choosing what to do in a difficult situation.

What is branding? Everything you see about a product…the gist A “product” can be something you can hold but it doesn’t have to be name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies a good or service as distinct from those of others The word "brand" is derived from the Old Norse brandr meaning "to burn” World’s first trademark was the Bass Brewery in England We’re going to switch gears a bit here and focus on one aspect of marketing, and that’s branding. What is a brand? A brand is the sum total of all messages that are conveyed about a particular product, through any mix of media. Studied 47 brands. Other brands that define the current teen generation include American Eagle Outfitters, Axe, Baby Phat, Facebook, Google, Hollister Co., MTV, MySpace, Vans and YouTube. Moreover, often, those claiming to be the most loyal nevertheless say they would abandon one brand for another: 19% would do so due to boredom; on in four would switch if a brand were to become too popular.

Please use correct spelling and grammar. Title it [your last name] brand sentences [class period] and share with Mrs. J via Google Drive by midnight on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 THURSDAY Search the web for images related to your ten words (or use images that you shot yourself) and save each image to your Photo Journalism>What’s My Brand folder on your H drive Put the words and images together in a computer-generated collage using Microsoft PowerPoint Save the final collage as a JPG (not a PowerPoint file!)
