12 Suggested key points to include in an email or conversation:
In order to implement our district Wellness Policy by providing nutrition education that is aligned to the Washington State K-12 Learning Standards, I would like to request 15 minutes during the January staff meeting. During this time, I will demonstrate how all teachers can utilize their $ Washington Dairy Council Cash to provide nutrition education experiences that positively influence our students’ eating behaviors and enhances their academic achievement. Our school has 30 professionals that qualify for Council Cash, which means that we can receive $750 of free nutritional materials each year. I have developed a plan using the nutrition standards that outlines what each teacher can order to support student learning. The teachers will be ordering the materials during the presentation so that we can receive the materials in time to conduct our Nutrition campaign in March (National Nutrition Month). Step 2: Administrator Support Schedule Time to Demonstrate the Order Process
