Jesus appears as the light that shines in the darkness
St. Peter Worship Sunday, January 22
2
Welcome to St. Peter! We welcome you to worship this Third Sunday after our Lord’s Epiphany. In today’s readings, hymns and prayers, we are reminded that Jesus appeared as light in the midst of the darkness of unbelief and sin in this world. What mercy and grace as he calls sinners to faith, discipleship and fulltime service to him in the Kingdom. May the world’s Light bless your worship through Word and Sacrament and empower you to bring the gospel’s light to others!

OUR COMMUNION PRACTICE
In the Sacrament of Holy Communion, Jesus gives us his true body and blood. We express unity with our Savior and those who share our faith and stand on the teachings of God’s Word. Therefore, we invite to our altar those who are members of our church or the WELS/ELS. Visitors and guests who wish to commune are asked to speak to a pastor before the service begins.
