4 Step 1: coming up with an idea
Any disorder: DSM V (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, psychology) CEC (Council for Exceptional Children, education) Any policy issue in special education Examples of published titles: Are Academic Struggles the Cause of a Learning Disability or Laziness? 5 Step 2: writing the manuscript
Use Google Scholar or OneSearch (IU libraries online) for sources Draft an 8-12 page manuscript in APA format …or, edit a paper you’ve already written for another class

6 Step 3: submit! Send via email attachment to: lawdisorder1@gmail.com
We will review your manuscript and you back within two weeks Accept with minor revisions Conditional acceptance with stipulation of major edits and adjustments Reject

7 Step 4: work with editors through editing process
Will go back and forth a few times to create the best possible manuscript We may set up a writing workshop with you to go over revisions We want to help you through this process! Once stages of editing are done, wait until we have enough articles to move forward with publishing Previous issues will be available to view online through IU ScholarWorks Open Journal System in the next few months Copyright policy: you retain the rights to your work and we publish under a creative commons license Before long you will be a published author!
