4 Day 1 – rotation 1 All groups complete the following before beginning your lesson for today: Come up with a name for your band Do the Daily Dose

Write about: If you could run as fast as a cheetah, what would you do? Edit this sentence: the taylor swift consert i went to last nite lasted fore hours Purple word of the day: glance – a quick look Use it in a sentence.

Share your writing! If you could run as fast as a cheetah, what would you do? Edit this sentence: The Taylor Swift concert I went to last night lasted four hours . Purple word of the day: glance – a quick look I glanced at the homework assignment and noticed two errors.

7 ZOOM! With Boatner *Group work- organize the pictures in sequence

What makes a good sentence? What makes a fabulous sentence?

9 Noun Safari with Haviland
Your group will find all of the people places and things that you can in 10 minutes. Pink notes label the places Yellow notes label the things Green notes label the people Extra credit for telling whether it is a proper or common noun. Write down in your journal all of the nouns you found & be prepared to share with the large group.

10 Parts of Speech Music Video with Berry
Flocabulary : Groups will demonstrate the parts of speech for the music video.

11 Example: The noun group may want to draw pictures or hold up items that are nouns. The verb group may want to act out the action word. Sun is a noun. Jump is a verb.

12 PEOPLE SENTENCES with Pearce
Groups are chosen - by rolling the dice Nouns Verbs Adjectives Adverbs Prepositions, Articles, Interjections, Conjunctions. Punctuation

13 PEOPLE SENTENCES Students will construct sentences by holding the word cards and standing beside each other to make a sentence. The punctuation headbands will represent the punctuation in the sentence. (extra sentence strips are available if words are needed).

Make a few declarative sentences. Make an interrogative sentence. (question) Make an exclamatory sentence. Make an imperative sentence. (command) Make a quotation. Combine 2 sentences using a conjunction. Make your own Fabulous sentence!!!

18 Write, Write Baby! Alright, STOP, elaborate and listen… 4th grade is back with a brand new convention Someone, grip a pencil tightly, Writing compositions daily and nightly. Will it ever stop? Yo! I hope no! Turn off the lights and we’ll glow. To the extreme we rock a prompt like a vandal, Light up a page, illuminate like a candle. DANCE! I like the words that move, They’re fun to read and make writing smooth. DEADLY! When we use those similes- Sharp as a tack-makes me happy! Love it or hate it – you write anyway! The prompt’s not our choice, but write well, okay? If it is a problem, YO! We’ll solve it! Check out our skills as our writer’s compose it! *Write, Write, Baby!
