1 School Exchange Programme
Ecole Saint Cyprien Bressuire June 12th- June 16th June 2017

2 When? June 12th-June 16th 2-17

3 Where? As you know the children are travelling to a l town called Bressuire on the West Coast of France. The nearest major cities would be Nantes and Poitiers. The will stay At the Hotel le 3 Marchands

4 Who? 43 Children will take part in this exchange programme. They will be accompanied by 8 Members of the school community: Colm Davoren, Anne O’Bearra, Mary Reidy, Jan Hillery, Blaithín O’Connor, Damien O’Reilly, Caroline Keogh and Kathleen Tobin

5 Luggage We are travelling with our ‘friends’ at Ryanair.
They are particular about their luggage requirements and so we must work within the restrictions-55cmX40cmX20cm. It is important that the children stay within these limits.

6 What to bring? Blue school Tracksuit top (essential) Rain coat
Comfortable footwear Adaptors-(To facilitate the different sockets) If your child is on any medication-Bring a sufficient supply A sun hat Travel (under 100ml) size sun cream

7 Bags Backpacks have been purchased for the children. These prove a very excellent tool for many reasons They will receive these on Monday June 12th when they arrive at school.

8 Liquids As you know there is a restriction on liquids in relation to carry-on baggage. No liquids above the 100ml level are allowed on flights and these liquids must be placed in a clear plastic bag Max 1Litre

9 Luckily.. Suitable toothbrushes, toothpaste and Shampoo have been donated for the trip and these will be placed in clear re-sealable bags and given to the Children when they arrive into school on June 12th

10 Electronics Mobile Phones are allowed on the trip. Entertainment devices or other handheld gaming consoles are not acceptable. All devices are brought along at the children’s own risk

11 Phones Phones will be held by your child’s group leader and will be given to the children in the morning and the evening. They will be kept by the teachers overnight to facilitate a good nights sleep.

12 Contact Should you wish to contact your child at any point. You can do so by contacting myself or Jan Hillery whose numbers will be distributed to you inadvance of the trip

13 Transportation June 12th-bus has been booked to take the children from school to the airport. The Nantes flight is : FR1986 and departs at 15:30. June 16th  Dublin Flight FR1987 arriving at 17:45 Children will arrive back at the CBS for 9pm Approx.

14 Code of Behaviour Ambassadors for this School.
Ambassadors for this County. Ambassadors for this Country. We expect nothing less than the very best behaviour from every child taking part.

15 Food All meals are provided within the cost of your child’s trip. Ecole Saint Cyprien have however asked to be informed of any allergy information so if your child has any allergies please inform us this evening using the forms available at the desk

16 European Health Insurance Card
The EHIC is available free to all Eurpoean citizens. You simply need to apply for it and it will be forwarded to you. It takes 10 working days for delivery. Application forms are available at the desk.

17 Balance of Cost The balance now due for your child’s trip is €220. This can be forwarded to your child’s class teacher between now and Wed May 31st

18 Spending Money Spending money is at your discretion. However there will be little opportunity for shopping as you can see the exchange is focussed on the children being immersed in the culture. We recommend a €50 limit. Your child keeping half with them, and the other half being given to their group leader on Monday June 12th when they arrive at school in a sealed envelope.

19 Monday Morning June 12th Come to school as normal.. We would ask that all children be assembled in the Halla no later than 8:30am so we can run through our final checklist Wear school Jumper Packed Lunch Passport and European Health Card Luggage(within restrictions) Spending money Half in their wallet (The other half in a sealed envelope with their name clearly written on it)

20 Between Now and then We will send a note home requesting a copy of your child’s passport We will also be collecting your child’s health in advance of the trip
