1 Nebraska Lodge Secretary Interface
Learning the Basics of the Grand Lodge of Nebraska Lodge Secretary Interface

2 Once logged into your interface you can start to explore the many functionalities of the GLMMS Server Database.

3 You can search for members in a variety of ways. You can
search for a member by using his whole first or last name.

4 You can also search using any part of his name or the first part of his name, in either field. Please note this will search for Active Members only. If you choose not to enter anyone's name as search criteria, it will return all active members of your Lodge. All Active Members

5 Once your criteria is set, click the “Search For Matches” button it will return the first 100 members in your Lodge. If your Lodge is larger than 100 members you can select a higher number to return up to 1000.

This is the result of searching for all active members in this Lodge. Here you can; export the results to a CSV file for creating a mail merge document with Microsoft Word; explore a member record, by clicking on his member number, then make changes to his record.

On this screen you see his Masonic record. You can "Edit Member Details" and "Edit Addresses" or "Add Transaction"

8 2) WITH - Withdrew for Religious Scruples
The "Add Transaction" button brings you to this screen where you have two report choices: 1) Dead - Deceased 2) WITH - Withdrew for Religious Scruples Please Refer to the Grand Lodge of Nebraska Bylaws Sec – MEMBERSHIP TERMINATED for Option 2 and Secretary's Handbook Page 5-4

9 There is a third option on the "Add Member Transaction" screen and that is MMP - Proficiency. This will only appear as an option if the member has not attained his Proficient Master Mason degree.

10 Once you have made your transaction selection for the member; entered the date of the transaction; you would click on Submit Transaction.

11 When making any changes keep in mind they are submitted for approval and not a permanent record until accepted by the Grand Lodge Staff.

12 Once the change is entered, click the "Submit Edits" button

After clicking on the Submit Edits button, you should get this message. You have three options of where to go next; "Check your recent Updates", "Return to Personal Record Page" or "Return to Member List"

14 If we look at "Check your recent Updates" we can see the change has been submitted but not approved. All of your submitted changes have to go through this process, and on this page you can see whether they are still pending approval, been approved or rejected and if so, why.

15 You can see, someone at the Grand Lodge Office, knew he didn’t like to be called by a nickname and rejected the update. Then suggested that it be resubmitted, without the nickname.

16 Now we will resubmit with knowing that he goes by this name.

17 "Check your recent Updates"

18 This shows that your update is pending approval by the Grand Lodge Office staff.

19 Here you can see one of the Grand Lodge Office staff has approved the change and it is now part of that member‘s permanent record.
