Incidencae Incidence of sternal wound infection in Cardiac surgery patient is estimated about 1 to 4% Sternal wound infection have potentially life threatening comobidity

Predisposing Risk factor
advanced Age DM Massive Transfusion Obesity Long duration of operation time Need for Reexploration due bleeding

Treatment Options Antibiotic Theraphy Only (IV_ Oral)
Opening the Wound and Dressing Surgical debridment Hemovac Dranage system

Case Series: We evaluate 3 Patients after CABG
Sign of Wound infection in 5-7 days They have superficial and deep infection without Mediastinitis After wound Specimen and B/C was taken IV Ab (Meropnem+Vanocomycin)

ReExplore was done in Operating Room
Debridment and Irrigation of Infected Tissue was done 2 Hemovac Drain was insetrted in Subcutaneous tissue and skin was closed I.V Ab was continued until 1 week and Oral Ab for 2 Weeks

The result of Culture Specimen was Staphilococous Epidermis
Patients Have Drain for 1 weeks

Result: After 2 weeks these Patients havenot any Sign and Symptom of Wound Infection

Conclusion: We recommend Hemovac Dranage system as a safe and effective options for Treatment of Sternal Wound Infection after Cardiac surgery.
