Building Envelope Design Secrets
The three main components of this Tri-Wall Envelope is Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) on the outer and inner “stay-in-place” forming walls and the solid poured steel reinforced concrete center/inter core. The wall in this picture is ready to accept poured concrete Design Secrets High Energy Savings - two inner vapor barriers blocking moisture from entering the core and the insulated properties of the AAC. Cost savings - ease of construction and the smooth but porous interior and exterior surfaces allowing no drywall or stucco scratch coats . Built in monolithically designed lintels above openings increases strength and lowers cost. Mass – The total wall system is far stronger, more energy efficient, more wind resistant, more mold and moisture resistant, and more fire resistant than the sum of each material used in the completed system.
10
Flexibility in Design Curved walls and beautiful architectural designs along with attention to details is the hallmark of this system. The design flexibility is virtually unlimited.

Residential Applications
Omnicrete has not gained significant market traction in the residential construction market due to market down turn in the in the early stages of introduction, coupled with the simple fact that builders naturally lack incentive in offering Omnicrete to it’s clients since all of the benefits are realized by the client / occupant after the construction process is completed. Learning a new construction process builders have little, if any direct financial incentive to promote, is naturally void of common sense. Our largest market traction has been through “owner/builders” which have a motivation in seeking out the many benefits that extend far beyond the construction process.
13
Commercial Applications
Omnicrete has not gained market traction most likely because during the natural commercial construction process plans and specifications are completed before they are sent to the building community for bidding. Omnicrete therefore has not had a clear opportunity to “bid” on projects that have not been designed in the Omnicrete system; it’s just as simple as that. Much like the residential market, the focus has to be derived from the “user” or in developers who own the many benefits of the system, rather than through builders, whose focus is not on the user benefits.
14
Conclusion Omnicrete is clearly a leader in construction Green Technology. Benefits of Omnicrete are extensive and far exceed all other construction methods. Cost savings are extensive especially seeking L.E.E.D Certification. L.E.E.D. Certification Comparison is reflective of the system superiority. Building envelope shows how the system achieves such performance. Flexibility in Design creates a user friendly system without limitations. Wall samples reflects design flexibility and unlimited possibilities. Omnicrete is not as suitable for the Residential Market as it is for the Commercial Market; especially for the Hotelier and Resort Market. The shell design yields 41 points towards the 48 needed for Platinum L.E.E.D. Certification which is far more than any other construction system. Omnicrete is focusing it’s marketing efforts on the Hotelier and Resort Industry as well as other commercial applications because they will derive the greatest benefits from the system.
