Has been established since 1970 as Yangon Co-operative Training School
upgraded as Yangon Regional Co-operative College in 1994
In 1996, as Yangon Co-operative Degree College
In 2011, as Co-operative Degree College, Thanlyin
In 2012, upgraded as Co-operative University, Thanlyin

11 academic departments and 3 administrative departments
There are 142 staffs in academic sections including 11 Professors and 28 Associate Professors & 117 staffs in administrative sectons.

Korea Saemaul Undong Project
has been started in 2012
has been implementing in two villages as the five-years project
mainly implemented the 3 elements (living environment, income generating and mental reform)
can contribute to become the modern development villages
totally USD supported by Korea for these projects

small researches together with academic departments
hold the annual research paper reading session every year
