Independent Growth Teamwork Competition Scholarship Opportunities Boat and Outdoor safety Conservation Knowledge Join Kansas Bass Nation ($30) Maintain a 2.0 GPA CURRENT JCHS Student Attend Club Meetings on Wednesdays during Seminar Time commitment on Tournament Weekends Personal Fishing gear and Life Jacket All students are a member of the Kansas Bass Nation (More information in further slides) Be in good academic standing at JCHS Represent JCHS in a Respectful and Classy manner at All Tournaments

4 Kansas Bass Nation Student Membership Insurance/ Liability
Boat Use / Liability $30 student membership covers: Online education program Prizes are in the form of scholarships, trophies, or MedALS (no Cash) All events involve online quizzes and boater safety programs about ethics and invasive species $30 student membership provides one million dollars of general liability plus excess medical for all KS BASS Club Members Volunteers and Sponsors are encouraged to be members as well because they receive the same coverage KSBASS prefers at least 3 people be in a boat at a time, drive, spotter, and fisherman The owners of any boats used must carry at least a $300,000 liability Rider on their boat to cover themselves School Vehicles cannot pull trailers.. Boat would have to be pulled with a personal vehicle Club members Could ride in a school vehicle with school sponsor

Potential scholarships Proximity to Milford offers a gateway to conservation and Wildlife connections Tapping into local resources Engaging students with interests in this area No other club with this type of topic exists currently at JCHS Ksbassnation encourages community service and supporting wildlife and parks

8 Safety Requirements for JCHS
Complete Boater Safety Course through Kansas Wildlife and Parks Can take it online for $38 KWP can provide the test and Certification for Free KWP can come in and teach the class to the students in addition to providing them with knowledge about Water Safety CPR/ First Aid (online courses provided for flexibility, $30-50)
