Parasternal long axis view of a different patient with a severely dilated aortic root (7 cm) who presented with congestive heart failure from chronic AR. Note the dilated, hypokinetic LV ▶ (see Video 7-5-9). His brother had a bicuspid valve with a normal aorta. This patient never underwent screening for aortopathy.
