2. The Abbreviated Gospel
There is a couple of places in Paul’s letters to Timothy where he summed up the Gospel and eternal life in very short measure. The first one is found in 1 Timothy 3:16.

God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up into glory.

John 1:1-3, 14 – Christ is the word and He became flesh and dwelt among men
Phil. 2:5-9 – Jesus was equal with God
Col. 2:9 – he was the fullness of the Godhead

Matt. 3:16 – the Spirit testified at His baptism
Rom. 1:4 – declared by the Spirit in the resurrection

Mark 16:19 – He was received up and sat down at the right hand of God

The first one is found in 1 Timothy 3:16. The second one is found in 2 Tim 2:11-13.

11 This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. 12 If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. 13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.

Rom. 6:3-11 – you are baptized into His death and are alive to God in Christ

He remains faithful;

John 3:18 – unbelief condemns
2 Peter 3:10 – God remains ready to accept all who repent
Heb. 6:18 – it is impossible for God to lie
Heb. 5:8-9 – Jesus is our example of obedience and life belongs to those who are obedient
