Support for the formation of collaborative programs with ASEAN Universities University Consortium for Evidence Based Approach to the Emergent Issues in Asia June, 2015

What is EBA? A University Consortium* for Evidence-Based Approach (EBA) designed to solve emerging policy issues in Asia. Areas: 1) Energy and Environment; 2) Health and Environment; and 3) Security and Disaster Management Program Contents: + Core courses (IT, Governance, Social Innovation,..) + Specialized courses + Practical Courses (Fieldwork, Internship and Local language) + Open Seminars Certificates: Component Certificates and Program Certificates Certificate program for undergraduate and graduate, jointly developed and shared by Japan and ASEAN universities, focusing on EBA. (Pursuing a join degree program in the future.)

EBA certificate program by Evidence Based Approach University Consortium Collect Data, Analyze Data and Solve Issues (Disaster, Health and Energy) using “Big Data & Open Data” Take courses offered by ASEAN/Japan partner Universities Visit ASEAN/Japan for fieldwork and internships (for Keio students) Gain Skills of EBA and Solve the global issues

EBA Fieldwork EBA Fieldwork is categorized as “practical course”
can be registered for credits (2 credits/FW) conducted either in Japan (Sanriku, Minamata and Fujiyoshida) or ASEAN countries (the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, etc.) composed of pre-FW workshop (local language training, FW skills, Visualizing skills,..) , Fieldwork activities (Data collecting) and post-FW workshop (Data analyzing and presenting)
