Tharpaling Monastery Renovated Grand Opening Trip
Brief history of Tharpaling Monastery in Bhutan
The temple in the East Bumthang area, the south foot of the Himalayas,
at an elevation of about 3,700 meters, when the eighth century Nyingmapa

3. The reconstruction of Tharpaling Monastery finished in year 2016.
Nima Khenpo was the sixth generation of Abbot at Tharpaling Monastery and made commitment for renovating the Monastery.
Therefore, he came alone from Bhutan to Taiwan for raising renovating funds by teaching Vajrayana and Thangka paintings . In the beginning of living in Taiwan, he couldn’t speak any single Chinese, however he eventually overcame
language barrier by watching local television programs and learning from local residents day by day, month by month and year by year gradually. His raising renovating funds footsteps not only stayed in Taiwan but also in India, Malaysia,
Cambodia, Canada and United State as well. After over ten years travelling,
The reconstruction of Tharpaling Monastery finished in year 2016.
The Renovated Grand Opening held on 11/20/2016, and there were almost 100 disciples from all over the world to attend this great opening last year!!
