2. Congruent Figures Congruent figures have the same size and shape.
They have corresponding sides that are congruent.
They have corresponding angles that are congruent.
These trapezoids are congruent.

3. Triangle ACB is congruent to Triangle XZY.

Side BC corresponds with side YZ.

4. Similar Figures
Similar figures have the same shape but not necessarily the same size.
They have corresponding angles that are congruent.
They have corresponding sides that are proportional.

5. To see if a figure is similar to another, check to see whether the sides are proportional.
