1 4x8 Mosaic Camera Development
Developed a flight-like prototype of a large mosaic NIR and visible focal plane instrument suitable for use in any (including the most ambitious) of the dark energy mission variants. Demonstrate interoperability of multiple NIR and CCDs. Look for crosstalk – understand grounding and cabling. Achieving nominal read noise performance with no measurable crosstalk.

2 Up the ramp (UTR) measurements of NIR 1.95 µm cutoff detector (#16071)
Test Results Noise CCDs < 4 e-; NIR (1.7µm cutoff) < 7e- Fowler 16 NIR (1.95µm cutoff) 400 second UTR total noise < 0.03e-/sec Interoperability/Crosstalk No interference or crosstalk measured QE (CCD > 90% peak; NIR > 85% peak) Flatness At room temperature (detectors < ±5 µm, cold plate < ±1 µm) At operating temperature (still being analyzed, but looks good) Up the ramp (UTR) measurements of NIR 1.95 µm cutoff detector (#16071) Total Noise Vs. Integration Time 400 second dark current image 0.036 e-/sec, 8.1 e- total noise
