Community Group Identify a representative community group of members, including: mental health professionals physicians hospital staff and hospital ER staff EMS staff law enforcement, including police, sheriff, local jail, prison, etc. local government; city, county, regional extension personnel civic groups; ministerial alliance; other community members

Community Group Activities
Overview of CAPE program Train all group members in MHFA Pull together data to assess behavioral health needs Determine and share all local and regional community behavioral health resources (develop a listing, etc.) Determine methods of early warning and early intervention Develop a community action plan Community can consider other tools from CAPE website

Results Anticipated from Oklahoma Training
FCS Extension Educators/participants will: Become certified in MHFA Apply MHFA training throughout their professional and personal lives Introduce MHFA training to their county/counties Introduce the CAPE project to communities in their county/counties Facilitate CAPE community projects Consider becoming a MHFA instructor

Continue additional sessions of CAPE training with FCS Extension Educators Consider extending MHFA training to all Extension Staff Consider extending CAPE training to all Extension Staff Continue to encourage community behavioral health groups facilitated by Extension personnel Extend MHFA training to community members
