3rd Annual USA Science & Engineering Festival Washington D.C. Convention Center April 25-27, 2014
On April 25, 2014, the 3rd Annual USA Science & Engineering Festival was held at the Washington D.C. Convention Center. Working in partnership with the NASA Digital Learning Network (DLN), Google connected classrooms and the U.S. Department of State, to an international virtual Mars Field Trip. Dr. James Green, U.S. State Department Principal Assistant Deputy Secretary for Latin Affairs, John Feeley and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s DLN host, Lyle Tavernier. He led students from three countries on a virtual field trip on the Red Planet. Washington D.C.’s Kramer Middle School participated onsite at the Festival and was joined by students from Texas, New Jersey, Nicaragua, and Argentina.
