The relations between United States and the Soviet Union can say that they working together very well for the longstanding between each other. Even both of them have a different goal but the relationship of both country still good.

4. Major war event
Pearl Harbor - Japan launches hundreds of aircraft to attack the Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Only few American ships are sunk because the American aircraft carriers are not at the naval base.
D – day - Operation Overlord begins, with British, American, and Canadian forces landing on Normandy beach, France. By the end of the day, 175,000 men have landed over 90-km of coastline, incurring 4,900 casualties.

5. Strength Army Ground Forces
During World War II about 16,000,000 personnel served in the U.S. Military. Approximately 11,200,000 or 70% served in the U.S. Army (4,200,000 served in the Navy and 660,000 in the Marines.
