2 Placement Testing Students are tested in 3 areas
Reading- cut score ≥61 English/Writing – cut score ≥4 Math – cut score ≥67 Resourses for Students

3 Placement Testing Students Needing Accommodations Must Complete the Verification Process GMC will provide the accommodations after approval

4 Disability Services GMC classes are regulated by college policy
IEP’s do not transfer Student must self-identify Students must request accommodations each term

5 Disability Services Equal Access is the goal in Post-Secondary Level
All student seeking accommodations must complete the verification process. 7 Advising All students must meet with an advisor
Each campus has a specific advisor usually the Advising Center Supervisor that is assigned to your students This individual will coordinate with school guidance counselors regarding acceptable classes

Preview before class – Skim the chapter, note headings and boldface words, review summaries and chapter objectives, and come up with questions you’d like the lecture to answer for you. Preview 4 Reflect Attend class – GO TO CLASS! Answer and ask questions and take meaningful notes. Attend Review after class – As soon after class as possible, read notes, fill in gaps and note any questions. Review Study – Repetition is the key. Ask questions such as ‘why’, ‘how’, and ‘what if’. Intense Study Sessions* short study sessions per day Weekend Review – Read notes and material from the week to make connections Study Assess your Learning – Periodically perform reality checks Am I using study methods that are effective? Do I understand the material enough to teach it to others?
