2 Parallelism Parallel structure means using the same patter of words to show that two or more ideas have the same level of importance. This can happen at the word, phrase, or clause level. (These are usually joined by coordinating conjunctions such as “and” or “or.”)

11 Add the word “that” if there is any danger of misreading without it.
