6 Rising Action Major events leading to climax Develop the story
May build the suspense May introduce additional conflicts, problems or obstacles

7 Climax The turning point in the story.
Major event that leads to solving the conflict Main character faced with major decision Most exciting part of the storyline.

8 Falling Action Events following the climax leading to final resolution. Events that occur due to the climax- things may get better or worse for the characters.
