Critical terminology – what does it mean?
You must use critical terminology throughout your critical essays. By using critical terminology, you are clearly conveying your understanding and analysis of the text. We must be clear about what the terms mean and how to use them… plot, stage directions, dialogue, key scenes, characterisation, theme, plot, setting, turning point, themes, climax, conflict, foreshadowing……..

Your essay Your essay must focus on the relationship between Edward and Mickey and how it develops throughout the play. Do not simply tell the story. In order to fully show how it develops, you must discuss why it develops.
