2 Journey to Excellence (JTE)
Is the “Quality Unit” program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Includes a Community Service Category for every Scouting unit type Scouting units enter their Community Service hours on the Journey to Excellence website for every project completed Journey to Excellence (JTE) is the “quality unit” program of the Boy Scouts of America. Journey to Excellence includes a Community Service Category for Scouting units. Every Scouting unit - Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Varsity Teams and Venturing Crews - provide service hours annually throughout the community including service to their chartering organization. These Scouting Units enter their service hours on the Journey to Excellence website.

Unit achievement of the Bronze, Silver or Gold level in Community Service category is based on: The number of Service Projects completed Logging the Service Projects on the JTE website

10 First-Time Users First-time users will need the following:
Your unit number (four digits, no letters – Example: Pack 62 = 0062) Your unit ID (five to 11 digits) If you do not have this information, call your council service center, Anthony Wayne Area Council at 800-BSA-AWAC ( ). They can supply your unit ID.

11 First-Time User Click on “New Users Click Here”

12 First-Time User Read Confidentiality Statement and click on “I Agree”

13 First-Time User Complete requested information

14 First-Time User Click on “Register”

15 Review Previous Service Projects Verify if a project has been recorded by clicking on “previously recorded project”

16 Review Previous Service Project Click on the project you want to review

17 Review Previous Service Project Review the Service Project details, Print Certificate, and return to JTE home website

18 Log New Service Project Hours Click beside “report a Service Project”

19 Log New Service Project Hours Click on the category that best describes the new Service Project

20 Log New Service Project Hours Fill in service project details

21 Log New Service Project Hours Click “Submit Report” when completed

22 Log New Service Project Hours Click “OK” to go to the next step

23 Log New Service Project Hours Print Certificate by clicking on the link

24 Log New Service Hours This is sample Service Project certificate

25 Log New Service Project Hours Click on link to report another Service Project or return to JTE home website.

26 Log More Service Project Hours If you clicked on the link to report another Service Project, you returned to the website to pick the category for next Service Project to be logged

27 JTE Home Website If you clicked on the link to “return home,” you return to JTE website

28 JTE Home Website Be sure to log Eagle Scout Service Projects

29 JTE Home Website Make user profile or password changes here

30 JTE Home Website “Log Off” when you are finished
