2. WHAT WE ARE DOING
We are hoping to repair the gap between parents and children about sex. We will be exploring methods for parents to more organically bring the subject to the children’s attention.
In addition, finding parents' preference on whether they should be the ones to provide information on sex or professionals on the subject.

3. FOCUS GROUP 1 Our audience is parents between the ages of 25 - 45.
With children between the ages of 5 – 18 who are in public school systems.
In the Middle Tennessee/Nashville area

At what grade level or levels do you think Sexuality Education should be taught
Would you like to see an abstinence-only curriculum taught or the Comprehensive Sexuality Education curriculum including both abstinence and the use of contraceptives taught?
Would you rather talk with your children about sex or would you rather the health teachers teach about it in school?

5. 83.3% of people were between the ages of 35 – 55
66.7% were women
88% had 1-3 children
58.3% had “the talk” with their kids
Majority voted to have sex should be thought in school
50-50 split when sex ed should be thought 9-13 or 14-17
Comprehensive Sexuality Education over Abstinence-only
41% say the 6th grade is the best time to start teach sex ed
