2. Materials Needed Large Spoon Clear Plastic Cup Potting Soil Lima Bean

3. First
Use a large spoon to fill your cup half-way with potting soil.

4. Second
Take 1 lima bean and place it in the cup.

5. Third
Cover the lima bean with potting soil leaving some room at the top so it doesn’t spill.

6. Fourth
Use your fingers to press the soil down so it is packed tightly.

7. Fifth
When you have finished, write and draw your observations in your Observation Journal.

8. Sixth
Then place your plant in front of one of the letters at the back table.
