from IBO Programme standards and practices The school promotes the value of the EE as a research exercise Appropriate preparation is made for the supervision of the EE Students are fully briefed on the nature, objectives and assessment criteria of the EE Students have access to adequate resources in the school and community All supervisors are fully briefed about the nature of their responsibilities and the work expected from the students

You already have an account – see handout. You might also suggest that your student read some of the A and B Extended Essays from the past, available in the MBK Library.

8 These deadlines are already established:
By May 17, student should have met with you about topic By June 5, student should have met with you to “demonstrate significant progress” By June 12, student who had not done the above should have remedied the situation; signed progress report is due By Sept 7, copy of rough draft is due Suggested steps-along-the-way: By June 5, you may want to see his/her list of sources. These should include books and any available experts who can be interviewed (by phone, in person or by ). When appropriate, sources should indicate more-than-an-American perspective. Exchange addresses and phone numbers with your student. IB juniors may check out MBK library books for the summer.
