The Muslim's Relationship with Allah Self and Others
The Fundamental Sources of Islam
2
It is related from the authentic hadith that the prophet (sa) said:
All the fundamental rules of religion are based on the Qur'an and the Sunnah (The Sayings and Doings of the Prophet Muhammad ) and all evidence refers to them It is related from the authentic hadith that the prophet (sa) said: “I leave behind two things. Whoever sticks to them will never be misguided and never be mis-led; and they are the book of Allah (The Quran) and my example (The Sunnah)” - Muslim
3
The Quran The Quran is the word of Allah which He revealed to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), piece by piece over twenty- three years. It is the period of the mission of which Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), spent among his companions. It is the text preserved between the two covers of the Holy Writ; and passed on to us, and is among us in perpetuity generation to generation. It is the eternal miracle of Islam and its comprehensive constitution of all that humanity needs in life and in the Hereafter.

Allah has said: “One day We shall raise from all Peoples a witness against them, from amongst themselves: and We shall bring thee as a witness against these (thy people): and We have sent down to thee the Book explaining all things, a Guide, a Mercy, and Glad Tidings to Muslims.” - 16:89 There is no doubt that the guidance of the Qur'an is the best guidance because it has been revealed from Allah himself: “Verily this Qur'an doth guide to that which is most right (or stable), and giveth the Glad Tidings to the Believers who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a magnificent reward” - 17:9
5
The Qur’an shall remain the miracle and foundation until the Day of Resurrection
None can fully appreciate its linguistic, intellectual, legislative miracles and other aspects of its miracles . Nor can any comprehend its laws with ease, except capable experts or scholars. Therefore, there remains the fact that the translations of its meanings, which have been made of it, have not done full justice to its miracles and guidance.
6
The Sunnah This is all that originates in the sayings of the Prophet (PBUH) or his action or descriptions or approvals. Above all, it is an explaination of the Quran: “(We sent them) with Clear Signs and Books of dark prophecies; and We have sent down unto thee (also) the Message; that thou mayest explain clearly to men what is sent for them, and that they may give thought.” 16:44 So thus knowledge as to how to pray, how to fast, how to perform pilgramidge how to even relate to Allah and others is told to us from the sunnah
7
Allah says: “Nor does he (Muhammad) say (aught) of (his own) Desire...It is no less than inspiration sent down to him” - 53:3-4 We are obligated to follow the Prophet's Sunnah: “And whatever the Apostle commands you to do, you must do, and whatever he forbids you to do, you must not do” 59:7 “ Say to them: Be obedient to God and to the Apostle - Sura 3:32 Also the Prophet (sa) has said: "Behold, I have been given the Qur'an and its like , together with it ? So if I forbid you a thing, shun it; and if I bid you do a thing, then do of it what you are able to do." - Daoud

The Quran and the Sunnah has been protected by the scholars of Islam
Through recitation and insight; and the scholars have written books known as Tafseer In the same way the authentic Sunnah has been compiled in books, the most important of which is The Authentic Compendium of Bukhari, who died in 256 AH. In the same way, there is the compilation of the citations of Muslim who died in 261 AH.
9
So thus Islam is a way of life based on two sources:
The book of Allah (Quran) And the Sunnah or example of the Prophet Muhammad. If we as Muslims stick to these two sources, then not only does the plight to paradise become easy for us, but also our relationships with Allah, ourselves and others with grow and strengthen
