Packaging must prevent scalds to the hands
Environmentally friendly/recyclable/made from recycled products
Ability to have printing/labels stuck on the packaging
See through for certain foods – encourage customer purchase
Strong and hardwearing
Able to portion control foods – e.g. hold a specific size roll/cake
