CHANDLER DECA IS KNOWN FOR:
WINNING! SCHOLARSHIPS! GIVING BACK! SUCCESSFUL ALUMNI! Our DECA chapter has a reputation both in Chandler and in the state for: Winning: we have had 15 students in the last 19 years win 10th place or higher in international competition and numerous others that earned top 20. Scholarships: I have had 3 Obama Scholarship winners from the program, several DECA scholarship winners and numerous other students that have received full tuition and full ride scholarships through out the years…many of which were awarded after competing in international competition. And finally, we are continually giving back to the community through: volunteering at PF Changs Marathon, Ostrich Festival, Chandler Education Foundation, Feed My Starving Children, etc. Many students have discovered that being in DECA is a great way to earn service hours for scholarship applications. Graduates of the program have gone in many different directions and are in positions, such as: Small business owners, teachers, accountants, lawyers, the medical professional, armed services, corporate business, and the list goes on… On that very exciting note, I would like to introduce and call forward our four alumni that are here this evening to briefly share with you how marketing and DECA affected their college and career experience.
