Creating and using bookmarks
Insert a bookmark as follows: Place the cursor at the place in the document where you want to add a bookmark. Insert tab, Links group, Bookmark. Type in a name. Click Add. The same Bookmark command can be used to remove a bookmark.

To list existing bookmarks: Go To option (F5 / Ctrl><G>)

Using hyperlinks with bookmarks
Create a hyperlink to a place in the same document: Select the text to be turned into a hyperlink. Insert tab, Links group, Hyperlink (<Ctrl><K>). At Link to: select Place in This Document. List of all the bookmarks in document is displayed. Click on the required bookmark. Click OK.

Using hyperlinks with bookmarks
The selected text is now a hyperlink, and you can move to the related bookmark by holding down <Ctrl> and clicking the hyperlink.

Manipulating line and page breaks

Widow/Orphan control Prevents the first line or the last line of a paragraph being separated from the rest of the paragraph by a page break.

Keep with next Prevents one paragraph from being separated from the next. Generally used with: headings, so that a heading is not separated over different pages from the text that follows the short paragraph that introduces lists (with bullets or numbers), so that the introductory paragraph is not separated from the list that follows.

Keep lines together Keeps all lines in the same paragraph together on one page.

Page break before The specified paragraph will always appear at the top of a new page, irrespective of whether the previous page is filled or not.
