4. Ferry Advisory Committee Update
FAC Meeting with ferries May 29th, 2017
Dangerous Cargo: Weekly through the summer except Jul 20 and Aug 17.

New Friday Schedule: still some challenges
Chemainus/Thetis Terminal Repairs:
Chemainus…need to replace defective parts of the ramp and trestle…completion in ~ 3 weeks
Thetis…scope larger…completion in ~ 5 weeks

It has been a challenging couple of months to be on the Ferry Advisory Committee
Some major delays and overloads have happened…BCF is investigating last weeks issues…
Increasing the licence level more often and more days to assist in capturing unexpected volume

Campfire permits due to expire on Jun 30th automatically extended to Jul 5th
We will be assessing on a regular basis after that. Fire Weather forecasters are predicting a hotter dryer summer this year…
Consider purchasing a CSA approved campfire appliance…use it all year long

10. TIID/TIVFD VIHA: $10 K/YR for FR Service
