1. It is estimated that 1000 unaccompanied minors currently live in the Calais camp that the French Authorities have committed to dismantle before the end of October 2016

2. At least 400 of them have the right, under immigration law and international treaties to be re-located in the UK.

3. There is compelling evidence that when camps are dismantled and disrupted many children simply disappear. ‘Save the Children’ report that around 10,000 across Europe have now disappeared and many fall into the hands of people traffickers.
