2. Morning Drop Off Procedure
Thursday & Friday –we’ll meet in the cafeteria at our designated class table
For normal drop off, please drop off your child on the back patio located in the rear of the building
Children should arrive between 8:15-8:30
We ask that no parents accompany the class up the stairs.
If your child arrives to school later than 8:30, please sign him/her in at the main office.
-by 8:30 on the back patio in the rear of building. I will be there to greet them for the first couple if weeks, then a staff assistant and teacher on duty will.
-After 8:30- please go to office and sign them in

3. Dismissal Procedure
Please be prompt in picking up your child at 3:10 p.m.
Students will be dismissed in the front and rear of the building. Please let me know where you will be picking up your child. If your schedule changes please write me a note to tell me the change
Front pickup is for those who walk home
Back pick up is for those who ride in a car
Teachers rotate between back, front & bus
If you are delayed, please call the office.
If your dismissal plans change please send in a written form to the office or you can fax the changes to the school. (must be in writing)

Please sign up today about the first day and your regular plan
-1 teacher will go out front and 1 out back at 3:10

4. Snack Please send in a healthy non messy snack each day
Please only water, no juice for snack

5. Lunch Money Good idea to pack lunch for the 1st few days
Please put your child’s lunch money or snack money in a sealed envelope with his/her name and my (teacher’s) name written on the envelope.
Snack can be purchased starting in October.
You can pay for your child’s lunch by depositing checks into your child’s debit account.  It is like EZ pass. This service allows you to receive automated s detailing your child’s account balance and which items they purchased for lunch.  You can find out more about this program at

7. Home Folder
The Homework Folder will be used to transport your child’s work, notes and notices

8. Homework
Monday, I will send a weekly homework sheet that reflects what we are doing in class.
It is optional.
If you return it, I will review it.
There is also a monthly math activity calendar that is also optional.
In January, books will be sent home every night.

9. Writing Folder
Please decorate the front and back with meaningful pictures, such as photos, clipart, magazines, etc. The pictures will be used as idea starters. You can also add labels to the pictures.
Please have your child’s page laminated ( Staples or the Teaching Room does this).
Please return the folder by Monday.
The folder will be sent home at the end of the school year.

10. Clothing
Indoor clothing should be simple, safe, labeled and not too tight.
Classroom clothes should be child friendly and arts and crafts ready.
Please keep an extra outfit in your child’s backpack.
Prepare for the weather by listening to the weather report every morning before school. Choose appropriately outdoor clothing and provide for possible changes in the weather.
Plan for your child to be outdoors for recess every day.

11. Birthday Celebration
We have monthly birthday celebration lunch with the teachers.
On your child’s birthday they will wear a birthday crown and happy birthday will be sung.
The August and September birthday lunch will be in late September

13. Before You Go
Please write your child’s 1st day dismissal plan & regular plan
Please take your child’s supply box in his/her cubby home with you.
Feel free to look around the room for class jobs, coat cubby, homework folder cubby etc.
