1 One Astronomer, 400 Canadians, and 1300 Students of the Cree Nation
By invitation and with support from the Winnipeg Toastmasters, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) Winnipeg Centre, and the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation, Cassini's inexhaustible amateur astronomer evangelist Jane Houston Jones of JPL toured Winnipeg, Canada, and visited a number of indigenous communities across the province of Manitoba. From November 5th to 13th, Jane gave 14 Solar System science talks to more than 1,300 kids of all ages at Indigenous (Cree First Nation) Schools in remote Nelson House, and Churchill, Manitoba. In addition, Jane gave talks at the Winnipeg Toastmasters and the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada in Winnipeg Centre to 400 attendees. RASC/Univ Manitoba Glenlea Observatory
