The Sun and all the objects that orbit around it are called our solar system.
Our Solar System has 8 planets.
The inner Solar System has Mercury ,Venus ,Earth . There are other planets and asteroids in the outer Solar System.

The Sun is a star.
The Earth is closer to the and not other Stars .
There are eight planets that orbit the sun.

3. Mercury On Mercury a year is the same as 88 days on Earth.
Mercury is the smallest planet in our Solar System.
Mercury is the second hottest planet in the Solar System.

4. Venus Venus was named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty.
Venus is the closest planet to Earth.
Venus has no moons.

5. Earth Earth takes 24 hours to round time around its axis.
The Earth tilts on its axis as it orbits the sun and that gives us our four seasons.
The Earth is 93 million miles away four the sun.

6. Mars Mars is very cold because it does not have a protective ale
Mars is called the Red planet because fiery red from Earth .
Mars has higher mountains and deeper canyons than any other planet.

7. The Asteroid Belt In 1801 the asteroid belt was discovered.
The asteroid belt has thousands of rocks and dust.
The asteroid belt is between the inner and outer planets.

8. Jupiter Jupiter has 64 moons that you need a telescope.
Jupiter is a gas giant.
The planet Jupiter is the largest planet.

9. Saturn
The Saturn is 886 million miles or 1426 million kilo forum the Sun

Saturn has rings.

10. Uranus Uranus is made up mostly of gos. Uranus spins on its side.
Uranus has 27 moons.

11. Neptune You need a big telescope to see Neptune is made of gas.
Neptune has 13 moons.

12. Dwarf Planet Pluto Pluto was discovered in 1930.
In 2006 Pluto was called a dwarf Pluto.
Pluto is small.
