Create a page in your sketchbook illustrating color trends for the current or upcoming season.

View video on Pantone’s site. Pay attention to the name’s of the different colors.
Using a variety of paint chips from a hardware store, have student’s select a color palate.
Write two descriptive words or adjectives for each color.
Recreate new names for the colors

Examine the following textures: tweed, lace, cable knit, flocked fabric, velvet, corduroy, quilted, chiffon, brocade, seer sucker, and satin.
Select one of the fabrications above and research the description, examine the fabric, and create a sketch of the texture.

Explore nature by taking a walk (either in person or via internet)
Take a photo of something with texture that you find inspiring.
