1 MTI: Multispectral Thermal Imager
Presented by: Matt, Kyle, Aaron Developed in partnership with the Department of Energy (DOE), The Office of Non-Proliferation and National Security Owner is Federation of American Scientists Primarily for using advanced multispectral and thermal imaging to be used for detecting and characterizing facilities producing WMDs. Proof of concept. Future use of technology may be used to detect targets and collect data for Department of Defense (DoD) use.

2 MTI: Multispectral Thermal Imager
SAMPLE IMAGE NOT FROM SATELITE: Launched on March 12, 2000 from Vanderberg AFB in Southern CA. Spectral Bands: 15 Ranging from visible to long wave infrared. Starts at 0.45nm Visible blue Limit is 10.7nm Long Wave infrared

3 MTI: Multispectral Thermal Imager
-Orbit: Sun synchronous, near circular polar orbit. -Altitude: 575KM to 609KM -Period: 96.6 minutes -Image swath width is 12kmx12km

4 MTI: Multispectral Thermal Imager
-The ground sampling distance is 5m in the visual spectrums and 20m in the infrared. -Total cost of project remains unknown but DoD alone contributed 24 million dollars. -One can assume that the development dollars mean the data will be used mostly by the DOD.

5 MTI: Multi Spectral Thermal Imager
A paper titled: Impact of Oil Seed Rape Expressing the Insecticidal Serine Protein Inhibitor, Mustard Trypsyn Inhibito-2. From Molecular Ecology.
