A Great Nation by the World’s Standard A nation where people want to live. A. A nation where people want to live. 1. Since the beginning of our nation people have left their homelands to move to America; to live & work. 2. From the time of its beginning, the nation has been blessed by God.

What about other characteristics
A Great Nation by the World’s Standard What about other characteristics of our nation? 1. It’s natural resources are worth close to 45 trillion, second to only Russia. 2. It’s military power, was once great. Even now our military is very capable of defense. 3. Great leaders? Franklin, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR? 4. Is it its declarations & laws?

A Nation whose God is the Lord
A Nation on Godly Principles 1. The “founding fathers” were not all “New Testament” Christians. Some were unruly. 2. Some only had a slight interest in Christianity. 3. However, the majority were: church-going, Bible-quoting believers in God. 4. It is hard to deny that when verses, a depiction of Moses, and the Ten Commandments are engraved on capital buildings.

Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, 'Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. 1. Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. The home (Gen 2:22-24) which trains in righteousness (Pro 22:6; 2 Tim 3:16-17) b. The government (Gen 9; Rom 13:1-5), which enforces righteousness. c. The church (Acts 2; 1 Tim 3:15), which promotes righteousness.

Conclusion 1. We must remember that while selecting our leaders is important, we must remember God is in control. 2. It is him, that we must please. It is God who we should allow to guide our nation and not man.
