This is also where you can sign up for volunteer opportunities and parent/teacher conferences. Please sign up for this useful app! Graded papers will go home every two weeks on Thursdays. They will be stapled together inside a folder. Please sign and return. Welcome to Our Fourth Grade Class! Classroom Culture Supply List Birthdays Homework Snacks and Lunch
Snacks are midmorning. Please refrain from sending sugary snacks. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains and proteins are the best to tide over hungry kiddos! Please, no sugary snacks or chips; nothing that is messy, sticky, or leaves cheesy (etc.) smudges on fingers! Due to students with peanut allergies, we do not allow any snacks that contain peanuts. No beverages other than water is allowed in class. Lunch is at 12:20. We would love to have you visit! Please remember our “5 On, 5 Off” policy with quiet music. Supply List I stress a positive classroom environment that focuses on every child becoming a leader of their own learning through the 7 Habits. As a leader, each child becomes an active, engaged partner in their own education and their self-confidence, responsibility, and initiative grows. They quickly understand the benefits of different gifts and talents; they learn to listen to new ideas, work together to achieve results, and motivate one another to be the best. A copy of the FOURTH GRADE supply list is on the school website. In addition, please add: Two more composition books (for at total of 4) Clear plastic shoes box (from the Dollar Tree) Erasers Accelerated Reader Goals Students will be given an individualized reading goal each nine weeks in AR. There will be awards provided at the end of each nine weeks for students who meet their goals. Birthdays Homework There will be an end of the month “birthday celebration” where cupcakes will be shared with the class. Please expect written Math homework every night. Science and Social Studies notes should be reviewed nightly (about ten minutes total) Leader in Me Chukker Creek is very excited to be implementing “The Leader in Me” throughout our school. Our class will be creating our own class rules this first week!
