8 4th Grade Grading Guidelines
Graded with % A B C D 59 and below is INCOMPLETE Assignments 79% and below should be corrected and turned in by the following Monday.(they need to be signed by a parent) Highest % that can be received on corrected assignment is 80% (A grade of 80% and above is considered to show mastery of subject)

Late work – 80% maximum. (Has to be turned in by the following Monday or the student will receive a 0%) Corrected assignments will better prepare students for tests.

Missing/Late work? Assignments that need corrected. There is an option on Family Access to be notified if your child score is less than an 80% on assignments. Weekly notifications will occur for tests/quizzes that score below an 80% - this cannot be changed, sorry.

* Help your child select: a regular time for homework a quiet place away from distractions Successful study habits for tests/quizzes/other studying Check Skyward regularly Look for missing work or assignments that need to be corrected The parent’s role in homework should be to answer any questions about the content, without having to sit beside them and do the work for them. Teachers need to see what your child is capable of doing by themselves
