Tues., March 15, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Oak Grove Join the Multicultural Student Center as we learn about and celebrate Arabic culture! As always, there will be free food and great company! Art of Leadership Wed., March 16, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., S-29 L.I.F.E. Speaker Kevin Warren presents four components to help students be successful in life, discussing: love, identity, foundation and encouragement. Warren's L.I.F.E. Workshops are designed to equip students with the mental perspectives and tangible tools to be the best version of themselves daily, while taking accountability and responsibility for personal greatness - "not creating a new you, just empowering the BEST you."

5 Alternative Spring Break
Alternate Spring Breaks - Alternative Breaks are an increasingly popular way for students to participate in meaningful and fun service projects during breaks in the academic calendar. The theme of this year's Alternative Spring Break is 'Serving the Past, Present, and Future." The first phase of the trip will involve conservation and preservation of a community's past, the second phase will address the urgent needs of the present, and the third phase will emphasize preparing for the future. Trip expenses are completely funded by the Civic Engagement and Service Office, but student travelers are expected to attend an orientation meeting, complete a common reading packet, and organize a post-trip campus event to share trip outcomes with fellow students. First Colony Exhibit Ongoing until April 16, 2016 UF Florida Museum of Natural History Long before Jamestown, Spaniards, free and enslaved Africans and Native Americans crafted our country’s first enduring European settlement — St. Augustine, in Discover the first colony through archaeology, history and the stories of people who lived there in this hands-on, interactive exhibition. These first colonial immigrants created America’s original “melting pot” — a colorful, multicultural society that was new then, but might seem familiar today. Gator Plunge 2016 date undecided Participants meet at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, then carpool to their registered service sites. Advance registration required. Please *double check* registration confirmation, as some details may change during planning. India Fest/Health Screening Canned & Boxed Food Drive Each year, Santa Fe College students, faculty and staff join forces to collect boxed and canned food for the Catholic Charities Gainesville annual Can-Do! community food drive. The donation wish list is: Peanut Butter, Tuna, Canned Meat, Canned Veggies, Canned Fruit, Pasta & Sauce, Nuts, Bottled Water.
