MEET THE CLASSROOM! Ms. Clements Helping at Home! The Frontier Way!
Creating and maintaining a fair and positive learning environment is important for all of the students in our class, which is why we follow The Frontier Way: We are Respectful, We are Responsible, We are Safe, We are Successful. Students are expected to follow The Frontier Way both in and our of our class. We will discuss and model what this looks like so the kids can display respect, responsibility, safety and success on a daily basis. Learn it! Live it! Love it! Classroom Snack! Students are welcome to bring their own healthy snack from home, as we will have a designated snack time during the day. Please do not send unhealthy or messy snacks for your child. Please avoid chips, candy, sugary cereal, and soda. PowerSchool! Class schedule! Student grades will be live and active all year long. You will be able to view weekly grades by logging into your child’s PowerSchool account. Report card grades will be calculated two times during the school year. If at any time you have questions or concerns about your child’s grades, please let me know. Daily Schedule: Morning Bell: 9:03 Tard Bell: 9:10 Lunch: 12:10-12:50 Dismissal Bell: 3:55 Specials Schedule: Monday: Health Tuesday: Library & PE Wednesday: Music Thursday: Computer & PE Friday: Music It is the student’s responsibility to return library books every Tuesday, and must have tennis shoes in order to participate in PE. Helping at Home! Your child will soon be starting homework. Please keep in mind that homework is meant to be a review of skills and to build responsibility. If your child struggles with what has been sent home, it is important that you let me know. In addition to this homework, your child is expected to read minutes nightly, and it wouldn’t hurt if they practiced the multiplication facts as well.
