1 Corinthians 12 : The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one body….Yes the body has many different parts, not just one part.
The two false attitudes: ‘I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand’
‘The ye can never say to the hand; ‘I don’t need you’
COMPLEMENTARITY not competition
‘This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other’

However He has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ…..Now these are gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.’

The glory of God – the Great Commission, maturity in Christ, loving community
= worship or the Kingdom of God
Within that, overarching goal, there are smaller entities or teams with specific goals
