3. The fifth challenge of a man is to take responsibility for developing his identity.1
A knight knows that to positively influence those at his round table, he must first know himself.

4. A knight with a strong identity:
Understands how to use his defensive style in a way that is consistent with his nobility.
He knows that:
The strength of his core determines his ability to become vulnerable and how quickly he feels the need to defend himself.
He can try new experiences and take wise risks, for he is able to protect himself.

5. A knight with a strong identity:
Understands how to use his defensive style in a way that is consistent with his nobility.
He knows that:
He needs to openly express himself in order to positively influence others.
Some individuals are not safe to relate to and that he needs to limit his interactions with them.

8. A knight with a strong identity:
Understands how to use his previous experiences (chain mail) to create beliefs that:
Become his GPS for future decision-making.
Lead to positive forest outcomes.
Help him to select a manhood team that encourages his knighthood.
Redefine the old painful memories that limit him.
Support the development of his potential and honor God.

9. A knight with a strong identity:
Understands his gifts and limitations.
He must:
Establish healthy self-care patterns that assist him in the refueling process. A.
Accept his physical genetics, which are a part of him that cannot be changed. C.
Guide his instincts regarding the positive and negative effects of these gifts.

10. A knight with a strong identity:
Understands his gifts and limitations.
He must:
Utilize his “brain that thinks” to set goals and to choose the best strategies for the accomplishment of these goals.
Develop his emotional awareness in order to understand what people are really saying.

11. A knight with a strong identity:
Understands his gifts and limitations.
He must:
Prepare his mind for possible action as he makes knighthood decisions.
His mind’s king chooses what is right, which is foundational to maintaining his knighthood.
His mind’s warrior willingly confronts what is wrong while protecting and serving others.

12. A knight with a strong identity:
Understands his gifts and limitations.
He must:
Prepare his mind for possible action as he makes knighthood decisions.
His mind’s friend creates relationships, in order to “do life” with others.
His mind’s lover practices love skills within his significant and intimate relationships.

13. A knight with a strong identity:
Expresses the passion of his soul. This leads to the discovery of meaning and purpose in knight’s life which honors God’s original intent.
Restores his dead spirit through a relationship with Christ, so that communion can take place daily between him and God.

15. A knight with a strong identity:
Defends against the ever-present, self-destructive force of the shadow. This requires the knight to stop its destructive influence within himself. He needs God’s guidance and power in order to limit his sin.

16. A knight with a strong identity:
Encourages his “self” to make wise choices. As the executive within the knight, the “self” decides which internal messages will be put into action and how he will be known.
