An extension object is a .NET object referenced from inside the style sheet.
Each method is exposed as a custom function

You can specify 2 resolvers in the XslCompiledTransform class. One is for import and include tags, specified with the Load method. The other is for document() function calls from inside the xslt, specify this resolver using 1 overload of Transform, the last in intellisense.
