3. Percentage Increase & decrease Applications
A cookie company normally adds 25kg of sugar to it’s batch of chocolate chippie mix. It has decided to increase that amount by 3.5%. How much sugar is now being added?
The cookie company also makes chocolate mint biscuits. It has to decrease the amount of mint essence it adds by 12%. If 3kg of mint essence was originally added to a bulk batch, how much is added after the decrease?
