#23 Guided Reciprocal Peer Questioning
What causes ____? What is the difference between _____ and _____? How are _____ and _____ similar? Why is it important to know _____?
5
Liquids A liquid is an in-between state of matter, between a solid and gas. The atoms in a liquid are close together. Liquids actually want to stick together because of their cohesive nature. This is what makes liquids hard to compress. Liquid will form to the shape of a container.

Liquid Molecular Structure
7
Solids Solids are typically hard because their molecules are packed close together. The closer the molecules are, the harder the solid object is. The molecules in a solid are stuck where they are. Solids hold their own shape.

9
Gases A gas is also called a vapor. Gases are random groups of atoms.
Gases are really spread out and the atoms and molecules are full of energy. The gas molecules are constantly bouncing around! Gases are free-flowing, but they can also be placed into a container.
